Leonardo De Lorenzo, drummer, composer. Since 1985 he has been performing and teaching.
Lecturer in drums and jazz percussion at the Nicola Sala conservatory in Benevento. He has held courses in percussion and ensemble music at the Casa Circondariale di Lauro (Av), has been part of the faculty of the orchestra- laboratory of writing and improvisation jazz "Ismez jazz Ensemble" and leads in state schools, workshops related to the teaching of music and the construction of instruments of different types through the use of materials.
He has recorded numerous records as a collaborator and as an author with many important names in international music.
A suo nome i CD intitolati “Entropia” (2006 ed. domanimusica) “Pictures” (2010 ed.skydoo) l’audio libro di favole e musica “le favole dell’isola dei girasoli” prodotto dall’omonima associazione, il lavoro in nonetto “waiting for” (ed. videoradio) published with the prestigious international magazine Jazzit magazine in the number 93 year 2016, the album in trio entitled "the ugly duckling" (soundfly label) also in 2016, the audio biographical book "I present you Francesco" (the notebook editions) in 2017, with the collaboration of Paolo Fresu, the preface by Tullio De Piscopo and the liner notes of the writer Maurizio de Giovanni. In 2021 he released for the prestigious Alfamusic label the cd "on Five" with an exceptional quintet.
He has published four books on drum technique and drumming coordination with particular attention to metric modulations, "snare drum exercise book", "snare drum exercise book vol.2", "the drum is served!" (ed. wakepress) "drum set exercise book" (ed. LDL). Always in his name the Drumming Video "My point of view", the story of the drums told-played in four fundamental stages, starting on the contrary, that is from modern music to get to the origins of Mother Africa. The DVD was released in 2008 by the "percussion" magazine.
